Sheila Dara's Story Supporting Vidi Aldiano in Fighting Cancer for Years

Sheila Dara speaks out about her struggle in supporting Vidi Aldiano in his battle against cancer that he has suffered for years. It is known that Vidi Aldiano is still fighting against kidney cancer that has been diagnosed since 2019. A body scan conducted in April 2025 showed a fairly rapid development of cancer cells.

Vidi has to travel back and forth between Jakarta and Penang, Malaysia, to get the necessary treatment. The woman, who has become increasingly popular after starring in the film SORE: WIFE FROM THE FUTURE, chooses to remain grateful despite going through a difficult situation.

"It actually feels that way after experiencing it. Coincidentally, my partner is also very cheerful, so many people might feel that I carry a heavy load," said Sheila in a podcast with Denny Sumargo some time ago.

"But actually because my partner is so cheerful, it feels like it's just carried together. So I choose to feel more grateful and thankful because he is like that (cheerful)," she added.

Sheila has accompanied Vidi for years from dating to marriage. They support each other in facing life's challenges.

"So it feels like we are together carrying this, so it's just something we do every day together," said Sheila.

Besides talking about struggles, Sheila also revealed the process that made her sure that Vidi is her soulmate. According to her, the relationship with Vidi is a natural process formed from intense and honest communication between them.

"Our relationship is really just an accumulation, an accumulation of conversations. It seems like from a lot of talking we get to know each other's little traits, which ones we can accept, which traits we can't, whether we can compromise or not, and it turns out we can," she explained.

From the series of conversations and understanding, Sheila slowly felt that she and Vidi could build a life together.

"So from that long chat, it slowly made me feel like we could live life together," she concluded.
