"What can I say, a teenager hahaha. We are very happy, Leticia is such a sweet child. The ups and downs of adolescence, thank God, we can handle it well right now. Because the important thing is communication," said Sheila when met in the Kebayoran Baru area of South Jakarta on Wednesday (3/5/2025).

2. Being a Firm Mother

Sheila Marcia realizes that being a mother is not an easy task. The 35-year-old artist expressed that she and Dimas have different roles in raising their children. According to her, Dimas tends to be softer and likes to joke around, while she is firmer in setting rules.

"Dimas is more of the good cop, while I’m the bad cop. He spoils and jokes with the kids, and when there’s a problem or mischief, I’m the one who steps in," she explained.

Although rarely appearing on screen, Sheila actively shares moments of family togetherness on Instagram. This beautiful artist acknowledges that patience is very much needed in raising children. Nevertheless, she continues to strive to understand her children's characters and provide full support.

"Yes, you have to be patient. As parents, we also have to be patient," she stated.

4. Being Firm Doesn't Mean Being Impatient

Sheila added that being firm does not mean being impatient, but rather a form of care so that children can learn from their mistakes. Sheila emphasizes the importance of communication within the family. She also ensures that the way of reprimanding remains with a good approach.

"Getting angry doesn't mean being impatient, but it’s for their own good. When they are wrong, they need to know and accept that they are wrong," she said.

5. Leticia and Teen Challenges

As Leticia grows older, she faces various challenges, including emotional and social changes. Sheila tries to understand wisely. Regarding the habits of teenagers who like to go out at night, Sheila ensures her child prefers to stay at home and only goes out for certain activities.

"Leticia is really a homebody. If she goes out, it's usually for dance or basketball; if not, she just stays at home," she said.

As parents, Sheila and Dimas want to ensure their children are always open in communication. Sheila also makes time to do fun activities with her children.

"I also have amazing experiences, and Dimas knows what the outside world is like. So whatever problems arise, the kids can talk to us," she concluded. With five children of different characters, Sheila and Dimas strive to be good parents.
