Spirit of Recovery after Brain Hemorrhage, Tukul Arwana Can Eat Without Tube Feeding

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Tukul Arwana is still struggling to recover after experiencing a brain hemorrhage. Now, the man born on October 16, 1963, is undergoing a series of therapies to return to his former self.

"Update on Mas Tukul, alhamdulillah he is gradually improving thanks to the physiotherapy we do every day and the physiotherapy at the clinic that we undergo three times a week, alhamdulillah it has a significant impact on Mas Tukul," said Kimon, the family spokesperson, when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/1) night.

Indeed, Kimon said that the spirit shown by Tukul to recover is very strong. In fact, Tukul can now eat without tube feeding.

"Currently, he has started chewing, yesterday he chewed soft fruits, now he can eat independently with rice and vegetables, no need to blend anymore, no need for a tube, but he can chew," said Kimon.

1. Sign Language

For self-communication, Tukul currently does it through sign language and cannot speak yet. However, he understands when someone talks to him.

"Communication is still the same, using thumbs-up sign if it's okay, nodding, but at least his understanding is good enough," he concluded.

2. Initial Illness

Some time ago, Tukul Arwana was taken to the National Brain Center Hospital due to brain bleeding. After undergoing surgery, Tukul is still in the recovery period.

For approximately two months, Tukul Arwana has been absent from the screen because he still needs various treatments to recover his condition. Although his condition is gradually improving, Tukul still has to use an NGT tube in his nose.

"If it's for sure, because it's still not normal, it's different from us. He still uses an NGT tube, but he can eat, although it's soft food like fruits and porridge," said Rizky Kimon, Tukul Arwana's manager when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (16/11) night.

3. Focus on Therapy

Rizky Kimon said that Tukul is currently only focused on undergoing various therapies.

"So, for now, Mas Tukul's focus is on therapy. Stroke recovery usually takes some time, we are not sure about the percentage yet, but what's important now is effort and prayer for Mas Tukul's speedy recovery," he said.

4. Unable to Meet Many People Yet

Although he still cannot meet many people, Rizky Kimon said that there are several celebrity friends who have visited Tukul Arwana.

"There are a few, like Vega Darwanti, Tarzan has visited, some others wanted to visit too but we limit it so that it's not every day because he needs rest," he explained.

5. Not Sad

Tukul Arwana's condition is already much better and he can joke with the people around him.

"He laughs and there is no sad expression, there is no sadness, instead he laughs, jokes," he said.
