Stalled Mediation, Lina Yunita Refuses David NOAH's Offer to Pay Debt in Installments

Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta Metro Police are seeking a peaceful resolution to the case between Lina Yunita as the complainant and David NOAH as the accused.
Unfortunately, the mediation has reached a deadlock.

"We haven't reached an agreed amount yet. Well, there's still an amount that hasn't been agreed upon, it hasn't matched, and we also have considerations from the other party," said Devi Waluyo, Lina Yunita's legal representative, at Jakarta Metro Police on Monday (30/8/2021).

However, Jakarta Metro Police is still giving Lina Yunita and David time to think and reach a peaceful agreement.

"Given until Friday (3/8/2021). We're waiting for their response. Whether we'll meet or communicate through the phone. Hopefully, it can be resolved by Friday, there can be peace," said Devi.

1. Wants Peace as Long as Cash is Paid

Meanwhile, Lina Yunita, who was present at the mediation, said that a big reconciliation could possibly happen. As long as David is willing to repay his debt with the condition of no installment payments.

"(If) He doesn't want installment payments. Yes, of course (it must be paid in cash)," said Lina Yunita.

Lina Yunita, through her legal representative, also denied that David had ever made installment payments for his debt. "No, there isn't," said Devi.

2. David NOAH Case

As known, the case involving David started when David and his two friends asked for assistance from Lina Yunita, the reporter, to fund a shipbuilding project at his company, PT A, in 2019, worth 1.15 billion.

David and his two friends promised to repay the money within 3-6 months. However, until the agreed deadline, David and his two friends have not returned the money.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Jakarta Metro Police. The report against David is registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Jakarta Metro Police, dated August 5, 2021. David and his friends are reported under Article 372 and Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
