Starting from a Casual Conversation, Awkarin and Jerren Lim Bring Digital Mental Coach for Indonesian Society

It all started when Karin shared that she met Jerren Lim, a mental health advocate living in America.

1. Noble Intention

After discussing together, Karin realized that she and Jerren had the same noble intention, which is to raise awareness of mental health issues among the Indonesian society because they feel that many Indonesians still overlook mental health issues.

“So, I had the opportunity to meet @jerrenlim about a month ago. He is a mental health advocate living in the United States who graduated from @ucdavis with two majors, biochemistry and molecular biology, and two minors, neuroscience and human physiology,” wrote Awkarin in a press release received on Saturday (26/2).

2. Create a Health Platform

“During our conversation, we found that we have very similar interests, which is the interest in raising awareness of mental health issues in Indonesia. We feel that many people in Indonesia still overlook mental health issues,” he continued.

From the conversation, Karin and Jerren finally agreed to create a mental health platform to increase awareness of mental health issues. He said that this was born out of concern for the mental well-being of the community.

3. Mental Health Advocate

“Since then, we agreed to create a mental health platform to raise awareness of mental health issues. And... @digitalmentalcoach was born. A platform born from our hearts for the well-being of humanity,” he concluded.

For your information, Jerren Lim is a mental health advocate born in 1996. Jerren not only graduated with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, but also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, United States. Jerren Lim was also honored in the Dean's Honors List upon graduation for his achievements.
