Starting from Routine MCU, Putri Patricia Tells the Chronology of Being Diagnosed with Tumor

Recently, surprising news came from senior actress Putri Patricia who has just undergone tumor removal surgery. This disease is also the reason why Putri has to take a break from the entertainment industry in the country for a while.

But fortunately, the tumor that Putri Patricia has is still benign. Moreover, when she found out that there was a tumor lodged between the walls and skin of her uterus, Putri immediately decided to undergo tumor removal surgery.

After the operation, Putri Patricia's condition is gradually improving although she has not fully recovered. When met at her residence in Bintaro, South Tangerang, on Thursday (7/12), Putri Patricia recounted the initial chronology of the tumor disease she suffered from.

It all started when the star of the soap opera PUTRI YANG DITUKAR underwent a medical check-up (MCU) with a doctor. When undergoing an ultrasound procedure, a lump was seen between the wall and the skin of her uterus.

"I haven't fully recovered now because the doctor said it's vertigo something, so when I sit down and suddenly stand up, it feels like I'm spinning. This is because I had surgery recently, so there was blood coming out, making me feel even more dizzy. So, take it slow and be patient," said Putri Patricia.

"So initially I could know about this illness. So in August 2023, during the medical checkup, during the ultrasound (USG) examination, there was a visible lump. In the medical world, any lump is called a tumor," she continued.

After knowing about the illness, Putri Patricia immediately consulted with a doctor. She did this to determine the next steps to take in order to obtain healing.

"So, when I found out about the tumor during the ultrasound, I consulted with the doctor, 'how can I make sure?' I am the type of person who takes care of my health, so I asked them, 'what is the next step?' MRI is the best option because it shows everything," she said.

Even Putri Patricia at that time wanted to have surgery immediately if it had to be done quickly. Because she wanted to recover quickly so she could live a normal life.

"Okay, fine, I'll have an MRI, but if you want to have surgery right away, let's do the test. How about having surgery right away, so that the problem can be quickly resolved, and move on," she said.

In the end, Putri was lucky that she didn't have to undergo a hysterectomy because the tumor she had was still benign. She was grateful to know this so that action could be taken quickly.

"So the uterus and also the skin, this is the uterus, this is the skin, in the middle, the tumor doesn't attach to the uterus. I'm grateful that the uterus doesn't need to be removed because of early detection," she said.
