Starting to Focus on Acting, Rey Mbayang Wants to Match Dinda Hauw

Kapanlagi.com - Known as a singer, Rey Mbayang is now starting to expand his career in the acting world. The husband of Dinda Hauw has just been involved in a film production by Falcon Pictures titled MENUNGGU BUNDA. He also talked about his role in this film.

"My role is Andra. So in one family, there are three children and I'm the youngest. Andra is a sweet boy, the youngest but tries to match his older siblings. We are children who care a lot about our parents. So during filming, it's like we're with our own parents," said Rey Mbayang when met in the Duren Tiga area, Mampang, South Jakarta recently.

1. Enjoy Acting with Senior Actors

Rey Mbayang also feels happy and grateful to be able to act alongside senior actors such as Putri Ayudya and Donny Damara in this film. Although at first he felt nervous.

“At the beginning, when I was invited to play, I didn't know who the other actors were. But after the reading, I found out, I was informed. Oh, it turns out that Donny Damara is the father and Putri Ayudya is the mother,” said Rey Mbayang.

“At first, I was still like, 'can I keep up or not'. But after meeting them, even though we haven't talked yet, all the fear disappeared because they treated me not as a new actor. But they shared. On set, there is no such thing as senior or junior. That's one of the things that encourages me to always be confident and give my best,” he continued.

2. Wants to Match Dinda Hauw

It turns out that Rey Mbayang, who is now focusing on acting, wants to match the abilities of his wife who has been in the acting world for a longer time.

“Actually, my goal in acting is to learn because it's still entertaining. I can also learn about art outside of music and in a way, I can also match Dinda, who has been acting for a long time,” he said.

Not only Rey Mbayang is starting to learn acting, but Dinda Hauw is also trying her hand at singing. They both support each other in trying new things.

“That's why we often talk and inspire each other, you pull me towards acting and I pull you towards music. That's why now she sings and I act. We teach each other at home. She even gives me advice on how to delve into the script, the basics, she has helped me a lot,” Rey Mbayang added.

3. Tak Bisa Memilih

When asked whether he prefers singing or acting, Rey Mbayang also can't choose. According to him, both have different atmospheres and their own efforts.

"If you ask which one is better, both are good according to me because they have different values and vibes. What's for sure is that both are not simple things, but there must be effort. If you ask which one is easier, there isn't. Each has its own effort. If you ask whether I love my mother or father, I love both. It's just a different portion, mother's portion and father's portion," he concluded.
