Still Friends After 21 Years, AFI Participants Remember the Time When They Were Still Participants

Kapanlagi.com - A popular singing talent search event in the 2000s, namely Akademi Fantasi Indosiar or AFI season 1, certainly left nostalgic memories for its viewers. The same is also felt by the participants, especially Ve Nazarina, Romi Kartiko, Ismail Rojali, and Icha Wuwungan.

Until now, they claimed to still be friends with all the participants. However, getting together is very difficult due to the distance between their residences and their respective busy schedules.

1. Frequent Exchange of News

When met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon (20/3), Ve, Icha, Romi, and Ismail said that they still frequently exchange news. This connection continues because for Ismail, he and the other eleven participants of AFI 1 have made history in the entertainment industry of the homeland.

"When we gather, we mostly talk about various things, especially now that we all have children, we ask about each other's news," said Icha Wuwungan.

"I always say that AFI is history because whether we like it or not, me and my friends have made history in the entertainment industry of the homeland. AFI is a history of learning about togetherness. We rise and fall together, and it turns out that the impact is still felt until now," added Ismail Rojali.

2. Leaving an Impression on Them

Ve Nazarina also added that during that time, everything that happened when they were still participants was real. But according to her, that's where the beautiful memories with the other participants happened, which still leave an impression on her until now.

"When we were in AFI, we didn't fake our feelings. If we were angry, we were angry. But we can't deny that there was something that made us crash a little, but oh well, we learned to be mature. We, the 12 of us, definitely had our ups and downs back then," said Ve Nazarina.

3. Sweet Memories

In addition, Icha Wuwungan also remembered the moment when both of them were scolded by Ari Tulang. Although at that time they both received scolding, but it became a sweet memory for Icha and Ve.

A similar thing also happened to Romi Kartiko who had to be scolded by vocal coach Bertha. But at that time he was saved because of his handsome face.

4. Scolded for Being Late

"I remember when Ve was punished by Mr. Ari Tulang. He scolded us because we were late. He really shouted at us and I still remember his words until now. It's still echoing in my mind," said Icha Wuwungan.

"I also remember Mbak Bertha, during vocalization practice I didn't understand the notation, so every time I made a mistake, Mbak Bertha commented that luckily you're handsome, otherwise I would tear you apart," said Romi Kartiko.
