Still Traumatized, Here's the Latest Condition of Praz Teguh's Mother Before Passing Away

Kapanlagi.com - Apparently, the grief still lingers in the heart of the comedian from Padang, West Sumatra, Praz Teguh. This is because in mid-2021, his mother, Syalfia Ankuniarti passed away.

When met in the Fatmawati area, South Jakarta some time ago, the man who is familiarly called Praz recounted the condition of his mother before she passed away. He mentioned that his late mother's physical condition was getting thinner due to the diabetes she suffered from.

"Since 2016, she was already sick, and my mother was a bit overweight, she was 58 years old, and she should still be healthy. She had diabetes which made her body thinner," said Praz Teguh.

"From the weight of the deceased which was more than 90 kilos, it went down to 50 kilos, half of it," he continued.

1. Closeness to Mother

As a child, Praz Teguh often spoiled his mother. With jokes between mother and son, Praz said it seemed to make his mother forget her illness even for a moment.

"Sometimes when she didn't feel well, I massaged her head, and when I joked around, she felt better. When she laughed, she was healthy," he said.

2. Still Can't Believe

Because of all the memories, Praz admitted that he still can't believe that his mother is gone. Especially during Ramadan and Eid, it feels very different without her presence.

"Many stories and old wounds are still not healed, still traumatized. Yesterday I went back to Padang, it was really bad. Usually during fasting and Eid, she was there, now she's gone," he said.

In addition, Praz Teguh revealed how his mother was always able to be a mother who understood her children's problems. Trying to understand and comply with her children's wishes, but there were still rules that were agreed upon, that's how his mother was in Praz Teguh's eyes.

"She usually tries to get close to us, she immediately forbids it but comes in and gets close and asks her child. Smoking. Even when I was in third grade of junior high school, I was allowed to smoke, finally she said 'smoke first at home, when you're satisfied, then go to school, don't smoke at school', that's how it was," he concluded.

4. Condition Before Passing Away

This 30-year-old comedian also told how the moment before his mother took her last breath. He recounted, at that time, he was busy drinking alcohol, while his mother was sick.

"Before she passed away, I was busy drinking all day during the fasting month. People are looking for blessings, but I'm looking for getting drunk. It was during fasting month. Finally, suddenly five days after Eid, she died. I just came home drunk, it turned out she suddenly got sick. So I felt like 'damn this might be my fault'. Until I thought, maybe I should go to a pesantren (Islamic boarding school), my wife gave me capital to trade until my wife at the time thought, well if that's the decision," he said.
