Habib Jafar had to admit the superiority of Onadio Leonardo, or better known as Onad, when competing in the Celebrity Sports Tournament Season 2 (TOSI). They competed in an Exhibition Match of Table Tennis.
What caught attention was their contrasting outfits. Habib Jafar wore long pants while Onad wore very short pants.
Apparently, Habib Jafar claimed that he did not do any serious training before performing to entertain the audience. However, in the second round, Habib Jafar could win with a score of 21 - 16, but unfortunately, Onad defeated him in the third and fourth rounds.
"I didn't practice, earlier Onad served and I returned it but couldn't. I couldn't return Onad's serve. I didn't practice enough, my stomach is not in ideal condition, but it seems like Onad is more tired, he even got injured," said Habib Jafar after the match at Gor Popki, Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Sunday (14/1/2024).
From the match with Habib Jafar, Onad realizes the importance of doing sports. That's why in the future, he hopes to continue doing it.
"Yes, I am injured, I'm not joking, this is me, Bib. Sports are really important, I rarely do sports," Onad replied to Habib Jafar.
Habib Jafar, who honestly admitted that he rarely exercises, acknowledged that the reason for participating in TOSI 2 is because of Raffi Ahmad's good intentions.Â
Especially as a preacher, he knows very well that sports are also recommended in Islam.
"If Raffi invites me directly, Raffi tells me that he wants to develop sports in Indonesia, wants to raise awareness of the importance of sports, that's really cool," said Habib Jafar.Â
"As a preacher, I see that health is the foremost blessing from Allah compared to wealth. So I want to participate in this project to raise awareness that exercise is important. Especially for Gen Z or millennials, WHO has stated that their lifespan is not as long as the previous generation due to unhealthy lifestyles," said Habib Jafar.
At the end of the match, Onad was seen bowing down and kissing Habib Jafar's hand. Both of them have caught the attention of netizens with their content that symbolizes tolerance among religious communities.
It is known that Onad & Habib Jafar embraced at the end of the game. Their actions were praised by netizens for representing mutual respect among religious followers in Indonesia.
