Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Nurul Qomar realizes that the stage 4C colorectal cancer he is suffering from is one of the diseases that has taken many lives. However, as a human being, he must still try to treat the disease he is suffering from.

"Stage 4C malignant cancer threatens a short lifespan, usually many pass away. But what I am building is that as a human being, I have to try, both medically and herbal. Later, it's up to the will of the Almighty God," said Qomar when contacted by Kapanlagi.com, Monday (4/10/2021).

"I strongly believe in the power of God. The important thing is that we make maximum efforts. Hopefully, if we have made maximum efforts, we will have a long life," he added.

1. Don't Want to Think About Death

In his efforts to fight the cancer he is suffering from, besides trying to deal with it medically, Qomar also continues to maintain his mental health by building a healthy mindset.

"I don't think about death even though medically stage 4C aggressive cancer poses a short lifespan threat. I balance it out by building a healthy mindset, otherwise I would be overwhelmed by the situation," he said.

Furthermore, in fighting the cancer he is suffering from, this man who has served as a rector and former member of the DPR (People's Representative Council), continues to build dreams that he will realize.

"Continuously building our future dreams is what psychologically drives us and increases our immunity, and the dreams we build will be realized in the future with a futuristic mindset, not thinking 3-5 years ahead but 20 to 30 years ahead," he said.

2. Routine Chemotherapy

As is known, this man, born on March 11, 1960, has undergone a series of medical procedures to treat his illness. One of them is undergoing major surgery in September 2021.

"I have stage 4C aggressive cancer in the large and small intestines. In September, I had a major surgery that lasted about 3 weeks in the hospital," said Qomar.

After undergoing surgery, this member of the comedy group Empat Sekawan still has to fight against cancer by undergoing chemotherapy.

"Now I am undergoing chemotherapy treatment to kill aggressive cancer cells for the next six months," he said.

According to this man who has served as a rector and former member of the DPR, he has to undergo chemotherapy every two weeks for six months. Currently, he has only undergone the first chemotherapy session. Hopefully, Qomar recovers soon.
