Sule Reveals Reason for Not Sacrificing This Year, for the Sake of Educating His Children

As the celebration of Eid al-Adha approaches, Sule reveals a plan that is different from previous years. If he usually takes the lead in matters of sacrifice, this time the father of five has chosen not to slaughter an animal for sacrifice in his own name. This decision was made by Sule not without profound reasons for the development of his children.

Sule wants to give his children, who now have their own income, the opportunity to learn about the meaning of sharing. He feels proud to see Rizky Febian and Putri Delina who are now becoming financially independent. For him, seeing his children perform this sunnah worship is a much greater happiness than doing it himself.

"Yes, kids. Oh, Akang not? Yes, I’m not for this year. I want to see the kids making sacrifices like that," said Sule when met in the Buncit Raya area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/05/2026).

According to Sule, educating children does not need to be done by showcasing wealth or parental intelligence in education. He prefers to apply brainstorming methods and casual discussions with his children about various aspects of life.

Sule positions himself not only as a father figure but also as a confidant for his children. His closeness with his teenage children is indeed commendable.

They often spend time together at restaurants or just have casual conversations without rigid boundaries. Sule even never burdens his children to take care of him in old age, because he wants them to enjoy the fruits of their own hard work.

"We are just like friends. For example, when we go to a restaurant, who's got the money? I’ll just pay. If someone says, 'Oh, I want to pay,' then go ahead," he shared about the warmth of their relationship.

Even though this year he will not be making a sacrifice, Sule ensures that the family gathering tradition on the holiday will still take place.

For him, the moment of Idul Adha is the perfect time to strengthen family ties, not just about slaughtering sacrificial animals.
