"When I went out wearing hijab, Athalla, my son, was surprised. He said, 'Mom, are you serious about wearing hijab? Don't take it off again, Mom, you're always on and off,'" said Venna Melinda when contacted by Kapanlagi, Wednesday (03/06/2020).
Doubted by Athalla Naufal, Venna Melinda convinced that she is now determined to wear hijab forever.
"I said no, Alhamdulillah this time Mama is already sure to wear hijab. (Said Athalla) oh good why didn't you do it earlier. So many people were surprised because I didn't say anything and I did it so quickly," she said.
Not much different from Athalla Naufal, her first child, Verrell Bramasta, was also surprised by his mother's change. Venna Melinda is grateful because both of her children have actually been hoping for her to wear hijab for a long time.
"Because I met Verrell after the first day of Eid. Verrell was surprised that I wore a hijab, oh Mama is already wearing hijab. Alhamdulillah, it's like Aunt Marini (Zumarnis). Well, not like anyone, it's just that Marini finally helped me too," concluded Venna Melinda.
