Suspected of Escaping, Land Mafia Suspect Nirina Zubir Finally Surrenders

Two of the five perpetrators are Ina Rosaina, who was forcibly taken from an apartment in the Kalibata area (23/11), around 01.00 AM. While Erwin Riduan surrendered himself later in the afternoon.

The two notaries were initially reported to have fled because they had skipped two investigator summons and had no address when they wanted to be forcibly taken.

"They surrendered and were brought by the Chairman of the PPAT Association, Mr. Hapendi Harahap," said
AKBP Petrus Silalahi, the Head of the Harda Sub-Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, contacted by the media on Tuesday (23/11).

1. Intention to Surrender

Petrus confirmed that Erwin had previously expressed his intention to surrender. Therefore, the police did not take action to make an arrest.

"So there was no need to be arrested because he surrendered himself. Our members were deployed and we waited for him at the police headquarters. Now he has arrived and is being taken to a room for questioning and further investigation," he said.

Currently, both suspects are being interrogated by the investigative team. Like the previous three suspects, both of them will also be immediately detained.

As reported, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police have named five suspects in the case of land embezzlement owned by Nirina Zubir. The five suspects include the family's domestic helper, Riri Khasmita, her husband, and three others who are notaries.

As a result of this incident, Nirina Zubir and her family have suffered significant losses, amounting to approximately Rp 17 billion, due to the transfer of ownership of six land certificates by the suspects. They are charged under Articles 263, 264, 266, and 372 of the Criminal Code regarding Fraud and Forgery of Documents.
