This anime series is adapted from a novel with the same title written by Nozomi Uda. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge became an anime series that aired on television in 2016 and was directed by Shinya Kawatsura.

Tanaka is a high school student whose life goal is to relax without exerting any effort or going through any trouble.

As a young person, he never thought of himself as the main character type if he were an animated character. This is because Tanaka simply wants to live comfortably without any problems that need to be worried about, with the goal of being able to relax more.

However, behind his nature, Tanaka unexpectedly attracts many good people in his life. From there, Tanaka's life, which initially only enjoyed solitude, had to accept the reality that many people, friends, and good family members came into his life.

1.Tanaka
Tanaka is portrayed as a lazy student who only wants to use his physical strength as much as possible. Despite that, he is considered visually attractive by other characters. Tanaka also has a realistic way of thinking, although sometimes everything is done to be lazy.

2.Oota
Oota is portrayed as a high school student with a flat and fierce face, as well as a tall body posture. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is a very polite character and likes sweet food.

Oota is one of the most important characters in Tanaka's life. He is Tanaka's close friend who often helps him, such as carrying Tanaka just to change classes.

3. Miyano
Has a very active and fun personality, Miyano is a character who is easy to get along with anyone. He is always seen and considered as a child because of his short and adorable body.

Miyano wants to appear mature like Tanaka, so he always comes to meet Tanaka to teach him how to be lazy and become more mature. He does all of that for his close friend, Echizen.

4.Echizen
Wanting to appear tomboyish and always acting like a thug, Echizen is actually a girl who really likes cute things. She is Oota's childhood friend and also Miyano's close friend.

Her meeting with Tanaka started from a challenge letter she sent to Tanaka to compete with him, because she felt that Tanaka had taken Miyano away from her.

5.Shiraishi
Having a smart, polite, and attractive character, Shiraishi is a prima donna at their school. She even has a very protective fan club. But, behind her perfect appearance, she used to be someone who didn't pay attention to her appearance and worked hard when she entered high school to improve her image.

At one point, Tanaka was the only person who noticed when Shiraishi became a "normal girl". As time went on, it turned out that Shiraishi had feelings for Tanaka.
