Synopsis

The story of Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show focuses on Miko Kurono, a streamer known by the name "Necronomico". After graduating from junior high school, Miko begins her dream career as a livestreamer and spends time with her childhood friend, Mayu Mayusaka, and her rival, Kanna Kagurazaka.

However, Miko's life drastically changes when Mayu mysteriously falls into a coma, which turns out to be related to phenomena affecting other streamers. To cover Mayu's hospital bills and solve the mystery behind the coma, Miko accepts an offer to participate in a secret beta test of a virtual reality game called "KADATH".

After completing the first level, Miko and six other streamers find themselves trapped in a VR world dominated by the Old Ones, ancient gods from the Cthulhu Mythos. Miko is furious to discover that Cthulhu has taken on the form of Mayu. Now, Miko must fight in the "Cosmic Horror Show" to save Mayu and humanity from destruction.
