The war between Qin and Zhao has not fully erupted at this point; many political strategies and movements of Qin's state officials are outlined to build the foundation for the upcoming major conflict.

After thorough preparations, Qin finally launches a full campaign against Zhao in the Western Zhao Invasion Arc. This season marks a turning point in the prolonged conflict between Qin and Zhao.

Qin begins to deploy forces through several great generals like Ousen, Kanki, and others, with strategies that include deceiving the enemy—luring them to focus on one front while the actual attack is directed at key fortresses.

One of the most prominent aspects of this arc is how the battlefield is not just about the number of soldiers and the strength of weapons, but also about supplies, terrain, strategic positions, troop morale, and mental resilience among the soldiers.

Qin must face food shortages, challenges in maintaining supply lines, as well as the prepared defenses of Zhao and the cunning tactics of the enemy. In such conditions, Shin (Xin) and the Hi Shin unit play a significant role on the battlefield, tested not only for their physical strength but also for their leadership.

One important moment is when Shin finally uses Ouki’s spear, a legendary weapon that signifies a change in his status and responsibilities.

The use of this spear is not just a symbol of power, but also a pathway for Shin to take on a larger role at the front lines, reflecting his personal growth. The scenes where Shin must prove himself, confronting strong opponents and the dilemmas of war—both moral and strategic—become the main highlights.

This arc reaches its climax when Qin targets the Gyou fortress (Gyou Campaign), which is considered a key control point over the western region of Zhao and crucial for Qin's future dominance. Qin's strategy involving some form of deception (feint), deep attacks, and maneuvers on multiple fronts overwhelms Zhao's defenses.

At the same time, Zhao's strategy under Riboku and other generations of Zhao leaders is also tested, not just in the number of soldiers but also in tactical cleverness. The Gyou fortress becomes an important symbol of this struggle, as the center of conflict that determines the direction of the war.

1. Shin

Ri Shin, the main character in KINGDOM, is the leader of the Hi Shin special forces. He is also a Military General of Qin.

He pursues his dream of becoming the Greatest General under Heaven. This title was given to him by his half-brother, Hyou. From his brother, Shin is inspired to raise his sword and aim for the main mission of becoming a Grand General.

2. Ei Sei or Zheng Ying

Ei Sei is the 31st King of the Qin State. He was crowned at a very young age, 13 years old. However, he only began his reign when he was 22 years old.

His father was King Sou Jou while his mother Bi KI was a dancer from Zhao.

3. Ka Ryo Ten or He Liao Diao

Ka Ryo Ten or He Liao Diao

Ka Ryo Ten or He Liao Diao is a military strategist of Qin and also the head of the Hi Shin Unit.

In his youth, he was adopted by the parents of Ri Shin. He grew up alongside Shin year after year. It was not uncommon for him to fight on the battlefield together with Shin.

From a historical perspective, he is one of the remaining descendants of the Kyuumei Tribe. This tribe was originally the strongest tribe in the mountains, which was later wiped out in war by the young Yo Tan Wa and his army.

4. Kyou Kai or Qiang Lei

Kyou Kai is a General of the Qin Military. He is the second lieutenant of the Hi Shin Unit, a special military unit.

Initially, he was the chief strategist of the unit. At that time, the unit had only 100 members. Over time, specifically at the end of the Sanyou Campaign Arc, his position was replaced by Ka Ryo Ten.

Now he leads the Kyou Kai Army, his own military force. He continues to maintain a relationship with the Hi Shin Unit up to this season 6.

5. Shun Sui Ju

Shun Sui Ju, also known as the Orphan from the North, is a General of the Zhao Military and the leader of the Shun Sui Ju Army, one of the two armies of the Ri Boku Army. His army is directly under the command of General Ri Boku, the leader of the Three Great Heavens and the Supreme Commander of the Zhao Military.
