1. Synopsis

The Arc Thriller Bark takes the Straw Hat crew on their adventure in the Florian Triangle, a sea area filled with thick fog and mystery.

On this journey, they meet Brook, a living skeleton who was reborn thanks to the powers of the Yomi Yomi no Mi Devil Fruit. Brook actually wants to join the crew, but his shadow has been stolen, leaving him trapped in the area and threatened by sunlight.

After that, the crew realizes that Thriller Bark is not an ordinary island, but a giant pirate ship owned by Gecko Moria, one of the Shichibukai. Moria has the power of the Kage Kage no Mi Devil Fruit, which allows him to steal people's shadows and use them to animate zombies.

Dr. Hogback, a surgeon, creates these zombies by inserting the stolen shadows into artificial bodies, which are then operated like living puppets. The Straw Hat crew is split up and must face Moria's subordinates one by one, including Zoro who has an intense battle with the Samurai Ryuuma, where Zoro acquires a new sword named Shuusui as a replacement for the broken one.

The confrontation between Luffy and Moria culminates when Moria combines 1000 shadows into his body using the technique "Shadow Asgard," turning him into a giant and very powerful enemy.

However, thanks to bravery and strategy, Luffy uses Gear 3 power to dramatically defeat Moria. When the crew is exhausted and can barely fight, Bartholomew Kuma appears with the task of destroying evidence of their existence.

Kuma uses the technique "Ursa Shock" and defeats almost all crew members, except for a few who are still conscious like Zoro and Sanji. In the final struggle, Zoro willingly accepts all the pain and exhaustion that Luffy usually bears so that his captain can survive.

Finally, after the intense battle and sacrifice, Brook officially joins as the ninth member of the Straw Hat crew, completing their team for the next adventure.
