The anime True Beauty tells the story of Lim Jugyeong, a girl who was often bullied for her appearance. After mastering the art of makeup through online tutorials, Jugyeong successfully transforms into a beautiful goddess.
She then transfers to Saebom High School, a school known for producing idols, actors, and influencers due to its unique tradition: the election of the 'True Beauty goddess' through anonymous voting.
At her new school, Jugyeong quickly becomes the center of attention and even a candidate for the next 'goddess.' She befriends Sujin, a former 'goddess' twice, but behind Sujin's friendly smile lies a malicious intent to bring Jugyeong down.
Jugyeong is determined not to be a victim anymore and confronts Sujin in a fierce 'voting war,' while desperately trying to hide her true face without makeup.
