Taiwan Shaken by Earthquake, Audi Marissa and Anthony Xie Still Unsure Whether to Visit Family There

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Audi Marissa and her husband, Anthony Xie, plan to fly to Taiwan next week. Initially, their plan to visit Anthony's parents was not because of the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck Taiwan on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

"Actually, Anthony always goes back to his hometown in Taiwan once a year. Since we got married, we have been going there once a year. It just happened that we planned to go there next week," said Audi Marissa when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in Hualien City, but it was felt as far as Taipei, the city where Anthony's parents live. That's why the 28-year-old actress's husband was initially worried if something happened.

"The earthquake was in Hualien, but the tremors were so strong that they were felt in Taipei, according to my husband's parents," she said.

1. Can't Decide Yet

Audi and her husband have not been able to determine whether they will stay in Taiwan next week or not. Moreover, after the earthquake, there is also a tsunami warning.

"Currently, there is already a Tsunami warning in Taiwan. People are prohibited from standing near trees and tall poles. That's what I'm afraid of, whether to go there or not. Still thinking and discussing with my husband," she said.

2. Feeling Anxious

In addition, Audi and her husband certainly still feel anxious. Moreover, Anthony's parents are still staying in the apartment, waiting for instructions from the Taiwan Government, whether they should evacuate or not.

"I'm also worried about Anthony's family. My husband's family is all in Taiwan, his parents, siblings, and cousins are there. So he's a bit worried," she said.

"Anyway, I hope there are no casualties, or if there are, not many. Stay safe there, follow the existing rules and regulations, and hopefully everything will be fine," concluded Audi Marissa.
