Kapanlagi.com - Artist Tamara Tyasmara once again commemorates the birthday of her late son, Raden Andante Khalif Pramudityo or Dante. On what should have been her son's 8th birthday, Tamara chose to celebrate it in front of his grave with children from an orphanage. The atmosphere was filled with emotion as Tamara arrived with a blue birthday cake.

Although Dante has passed away, Tamara admits that she continues to uphold the tradition of preparing everything needed for her child's birthday well in advance. She had even thought about this preparation months before. She does this purely out of her everlasting love for her beloved child who has departed.

"Yes, it feels like a habit that can't be erased. So, even though Dante is no longer here, I still want to make cakes, prepare the birthday theme. I usually prepare for Dante's birthday about three months in advance. But this time, I had been thinking about it for 3-4 months already," Tamara said at the TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta, on Friday (26/12/2025).

1. Unable to Hold Back Tears

Initially, Tamara intended to appear strong and cheerful during the special moment. She wanted her late son to see his mother happy on his birthday. However, her emotional defenses crumbled as she knelt beside her beloved son's grave.

"I originally wanted to be cheerful so that Dante would also be happy there. But... (crying). There were a few times (when Dante visited me in dreams). I wish he would come every day, but sometimes it’s just occasionally," she said.

2. Done Since Last Year

Tamara explained that the celebration at the grave has been done since last year. For her, TPU Jeruk Purut is now a "new home" for Dante where family and school friends can gather to pray for him. The presence of relatives makes the atmosphere at the grave warmer.

"Indeed, since last year at the grave. The reason is that I just want to come to Dante's new home. So that he can feel that it is lively here, we come, his school friends come, many of his relatives and family come," Tamara explained.

3. Special Themed Birthday Cake

For this year's birthday theme, Tamara chose a unique and sweet concept. A blue cake adorned with a small elephant decorates the grave. She was inspired by a classic animated film that she hopes Dante would have liked in the afterlife.

"Not really, this year my concept is like that Jumbo movie. So even though Dante hasn't experienced it, hasn't watched Jumbo, I hope he still feels it, stays updated even though he is no longer here," said Tamara Tyasmara.
