"So I auction off my Rolex watch, my favorite watch. I will use this watch to build the Muzzallan Mosque in Jogjakarta," writes Taqy Malik.
"It started from the grand charity event in Indonesia in Jogjakarta yesterday. Why? Because I saw a Quran verse that says 'you will not attain righteousness until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love the most'," Taqy Malik continues.
"So I'm auctioning off this Rolex watch that I bought 2 years ago, the watch that I wear everywhere, to build someone else's mosque. Although I myself am also building a mosque with Allah's permission. But I remember the message from my teacher, Kyai Lukman, who said 'if you help Allah's religion, then Allah will help you'," says this man born in Banjarmasin.

The auction event was held by Taqy Malik through his Instagram. Serell Nadirah's husband admitted that there are many kind-hearted people out there who want to participate in the auction.
"So before I build a mosque, I help other people's mosques first. Alhamdulillah, yesterday we auctioned off the Rolex watch on Instagram and many people joined in, starting from Rp 180 million. I bought it for Rp 170 million. After that, someone offered hundreds of millions, and in the last minute, someone even offered Rp 1 billion, Mr. Gilang Jurangan99," said Taqy Malik.

The winner of this auction is Gilang Juragan99 or affectionately known as crazy rich Malang. The Rp 1.15 billion paid by Gilang will soon be used for the construction of a mosque.
"It was intense, reaching Rp 1.1 billion, and in the last minute, Mr. Gilang closed it at Rp 1.15 billion (Rp 1,150,000,000). Alhamdulillah, this watch is indeed intended to build the Muzzallan Mosque in Jogjakarta for the young generation. InshaAllah, it will be built in 2022," he continued.Â

Taqy Malik narrated that Gilang won the auction in the last moments of the closing at 8:00 PM WIB.
"He bid at the last minute, it gave me goosebumps. I never expected it to reach such a fantastic amount, to build the Munzalan civilization mosque in Jogjakarta. Hopefully, this becomes a continuous reward for Mas Gilang and his family until death, Ameen Ya Rabb," said Taqy Malik.
