Teuku Zacky Successfully Collects Rp 8 Million from Celebrity Auctions to Fight COVID-19

He admitted that he has been holding celebrity auctions since last Friday (27/3). This actor also utilizes social media to attract public interest. In addition, Teuku Zacky also hopes that this action can be a good example for the Indonesian people.

"I think on one side we also want to create activities for those who stay at home so they can also see the activities of celebrities at home. Hopefully it can also inspire, because before the auction we also talked and discussed about what they have been doing at home and for how long, how to keep them from getting bored and things like that. It can be a spectacle to show how they can be an example too. Netizens can see how celebrities also stay at home to fight COVID-19," said Teuku Zacky when contacted by phone on Saturday (28/3).

1. Total Funds Raised

Teuku Zacky hopes that this activity can be beneficial, especially for netizens who want to have celebrity items. The proceeds from the sale of these items will be directly donated to medical personnel and the community in need.

"Yesterday, it was just me, Maia Estianty, and Aming. Yesterday, we collected nearly 8 million from those three artists. And today, Olla Ramlan and Melaney Ricardo are also participating. And today, the amount is still being counted, because the netizens' response is known, because we made quite an effort to filter out who is serious and who is joking. Maybe tomorrow, we will find out how much it is, maybe around the same as yesterday," he said.

2. Many Artists Participate

This actor also invited many fellow artists to participate. Some artists who are participating in this event are Maia, Aming, Olla, and Melaney. They all donated personal items ranging from shoe collections, suitcases, clothes, to perfumes.

This Acehnese-blooded man admitted that he still doesn't know when the event will end. This is because many artists are interested in participating and making donations.

"I haven't set a deadline, there will still be more auctions tomorrow. Tomorrow, there will be three, Raffi Ahmad, Baim Wong, and Titi Rajo Bintang. The times are also different, Baim at 10 am, Raffi at 3 pm, and Titi at 4 pm. So, I actually created this to raise awareness among the artists about what they want to donate because I said 'make it easy'. Don't complicate things, let's do something for humanity," he said.
