The Challenges are Different, Daniel Mananta Shares Stories When Participating in Marathons in Several Countries

Kapanlagi.com - Presenter Daniel Mananta shares stories when he participated in marathons abroad. Coincidentally, the actor of the film A Man Called Ahok has participated in various marathons in different cities abroad such as Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo, and New York.

“The challenges during my marathons, I have participated four times in Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo, and New York,” said Daniel Mananta when met in Sudirman area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/11/2023).

1. Learning a Lot

According to Daniel, each marathon has its own uniqueness. In Berlin, he learned that he should not be too enthusiastic at the beginning because he could experience cramps at kilometer 30.

“In Berlin, I learned that I shouldn't be too enthusiastic at the beginning. It turns out I got cramps at km 30,” he said.

2. Running Has Its Uniqueness

According to Daniel, marathons have their own uniqueness. In Berlin, he learned that one should not be too enthusiastic in the beginning because they could experience cramps at kilometer 30.

"In Berlin, I learned that I shouldn't be too enthusiastic in the beginning. Turns out, cramps at km 30," he said.

3. Last Route in New York

Then in Tokyo, Daniel had to struggle against diarrhea. Lastly, in New York, the route is full of uphill climbs, so he has to strengthen his leg power to face it.

"In Tokyo, I had diarrhea, and in New York, it's all uphill climbs. So I have to improve my leg power to face the New York marathon," he said.

4. Running a Marathon in London

Although he has experienced various challenges in several marathons, Daniel Mananta is still looking forward to the next challenge. He plans to participate in the London marathon scheduled for April 21, 2024.

"Next, I'll face the challenge in London and Boston. But, I don't know what the challenges will be like. The London marathon will be on April 21, 2024," concluded Daniel Mananta.
