Kapanlagi.com - The divorce process of Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar, which was supposed to be decided on November 20, 2024, has been postponed again. The verdict is scheduled to be announced on November 29 through the e-court system at the Central Jakarta Religious Court.
Machi Achmad, the legal representative of Kimberly Ryder, explained that this is the second postponement after the verdict was previously scheduled for mid-November. Nevertheless, the Kimberly side respects the judges' decision.
"Through e-court, it has been postponed. Yesterday it should have been around the 12th or 13th, postponed to the 20th. On the 20th we received an e-court notification again that it was postponed to Friday, November 29, 2024," said Machi Achmad when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (22/11/2024).

According to Machi, this delay is due to the judges needing more time to communicate and deliberate on the final decision.
"We appreciate this delay because the judges, on the 20th, were still communicating and deliberating," he explained.
In her divorce petition, Kimberly Ryder requested three main things: divorce, child custody, and alimony that Edward must fulfill for their children. This was expressed by Machi as a form of responsibility towards the children from the marriage.
"Of course, we are filing a petition for divorce, child custody, and alimony. For the alimony for the children and the wife," Machi explained.
Kimberly is requesting alimony of IDR 40 million for the needs of their two children. However, the amount of alimony will be adjusted according to the judges' decision.
"For the children, yes, around IDR 40 million for two children. But that will be returned to the judges," he added.
In addition to child support, Kimberly also requested alimony for herself. "For Kimberly herself, I'm asking for alimony of around Rp5 thousand in total," said Machi.
Machi hopes that the verdict hearing scheduled for e-court on November 29 will go smoothly and provide the best outcome for her client.
"Let's just pray that on the 29th there will be the most just decision. I believe the panel of judges at the Central Jakarta Religious Court will act fairly," she said.
