The Lewd Video Case Continues, Gisella Anastasia Declared a Suspect

Now, a new phase of the case begins with the actress and singer being declared a suspect. This was stated by the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Yusri Yunus, on Tuesday (29/12).

1. Becoming a Suspect

According to Yusri, the results of digital forensic examination confirmed that the person in the video is Gisel together with a man with the initials MYD.

"Then now, from the results of the case hearing conducted yesterday afternoon, the status of sister GA and brother MYD has been raised from witnesses to suspects," said Yusri.

2. Making a Video in Medan

Yusri also revealed that both Gisel and MYD admitted to making the video while they were in Medan, North Sumatra in 2017.

"Sister GA and brother MYD admitted that it was indeed them in the video circulating on social media. They admitted that it was themselves and it happened around 2017 at a hotel in Medan," explained Yusri.

3. Clarification Attempted

Gisel has been questioned multiple times by the police. In her clarification, Gisel neither denied nor admitted. She only stated her support for the police process.

This case continues to progress legally. Before Gisel was declared a suspect, two individuals who spread the video have already been apprehended. Their files have been forwarded to the prosecutor's office.

4. Video Spreaders Apprehended

Suspects PP and MN were apprehended in two separate locations. PP was arrested in Pondok Aren, South Tangerang. Meanwhile, MF was nabbed by the police in the Sawangan area, Depok.

"For the files of these two suspects that we have detained, we have already submitted Phase I to the prosecutor. We are still waiting for the prosecutor's decision on whether it can be accepted or not," explained Yusri Yunus to Merdeka.com on Wednesday (2/12).
