Ikmal met Indah when they both attended a cycling event in September 2021. At that time, Indah was only accompanying her friend who participated in the event. That's where Ikmal and Indah's introduction began.

"We met at a cycling event, introduced by a friend. Indah was there, she wasn't cycling, just accompanying her friends," said Ikmal Tobing at The Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (25/6/2022).

After their introduction at the event, Ikmal Tobing and Indah continued to communicate and their relationship became more intense.

"Then we became friends, there was a moment when I took my mother for a routine check-up. Indah was the one who cared the most, it was a modus operandi. After that, we had another event, and kept communicating,"

Ikmal Tobing and Indah Lolita finally started dating in January 2022. Interestingly, after only two months of dating, Ikmal planned to propose to Indah in March 2022.

The date coincided with Ikmal's 31st birthday. Seeing Ikmal's seriousness, Indah agreed to be proposed by her lover.

"Yes, we did want it to be in November 2022, but after getting engaged in March, the family wanted it to be halal first. The end of the ceremony was moved up to make it halal," concluded Ikmal Tobing.
