The Public Prosecutor States That Ammar Zoni Used the Code Language 'Fish and Vegetables' in Running His Drug Business

Kapanlagi.com - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) responded to the defense note of Ammar Zoni that was read in court last week. One point that was highlighted by the JPU in the defense note is the nutmeg business that Ammar and Akri are said to be engaged in.

The JPU stated that Ammar has lied. This is evidenced by the defendant's convoluted statements, which are considered dishonest.

"In your defense, point F of the defendant's statement shows that the defendant is convoluted and dishonest, where on page 13 the defendant denies the transfer evidence in the WA conversation," said Azam Akhmad Akhsya as the JPU during the trial at the West Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (30/7).

"However, on page 14 the defendant actually admits the transfer evidence in the WA conversation which is the result of business, not the result of selling narcotics of the type methamphetamine," he added.

Not only that, the prosecutor also suspects that Ammar and Akri used a password in their communications to run the drug business. This is because their conversations do not indicate the claimed nutmeg business.

"In the WA conversation between witness Akri and the defendant, there is no conversation about the nutmeg business; instead, there is a discussion about narcotics using coded language, namely fish and vegetables," said Azam.

2. The Defendant Acknowledges This

When met again after the trial, Azam stated that his team had asked Akri for information regarding the business. Azam emphasized that Akri himself acknowledged the suspicion of the password.

"That is coded language in the WA chat that we presented to the judges. Fish and vegetables we clarified again to Akri, what it means, he said it means meth, right? He said the nutmeg business was neatly discussed, but why fish and vegetables, that’s the simple logic," he concluded.
