The Story of Ratu Felisha Who Disappeared from the Screen, Comeback Brings Awards Through Her New Film

Ratu Felisha also revealed that by being absent from the entertainment world, she unconsciously rebranded herself as an actress.Because during her absence, Ratu admitted that she filtered every shooting offer that came to her personal email.

When met in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Friday (10/9), Ratu Felisha shared how she got involved in this film.Ratu said she had to go through a casting process before getting a role in this film.

"In Locarno, I got the Leopard Award but also entered Toronto.Casting, so I didn't know, unconsciously I rebranded myself by disappearing from the screen and selecting the scenarios that came to my email and got this," said Ratu Felisha.

"I joined the casting when I found out that the director was Edwin, wow he's cool, he's the one who made Aruna Dan Lidahnya, he's a famous indie director, so I went through the casting process, and a few days later I was chosen," she continued.

Ratu Felisha also shared the shooting process that was truly challenging for her. However, it actually made Ratu enjoy the production process. Meanwhile, she was previously involved in the latest feature film, but when asked, Ratu Felisha didn't want to reveal the title.

"Then I was told that my face would be fully covered with prosthetics during the shooting, and the preparation took 5 hours. So while others came at 6 am, I came at 3 am for makeup. I'm grateful, because it's been a long time since I last shot, so I'm very grateful to get a good story and I'm a fan of the director, so I'm thankful and not complaining, just a little sleepy. Actually, last year there were two other film shootings, but the titles still have to be kept secret," she said.

Certainly, winning the award is a pride for Ratu Felisha. However, when asked if she wants to star in a foreign film, she doesn't have high expectations.

"Yes, I'm happy to be involved in this film project and bring the name of Indonesia to Toronto and Locarno, Switzerland. Oh well, who offers (to act in a foreign film), it's too far-fetched to act in a foreign film," she concluded.

On the other hand, this 38-year-old woman is not someone who wants her personal affairs to be disturbed by anyone. Moreover, considering the current situation is still in a pandemic, Ratu is very cautious about this because she wants to maintain her mental health.

In fact, to maintain this, Ratu also admitted that she has narrowed down her circle of friends. Because she doesn't want her personal affairs to be unintentionally exposed.

"Like I said before, I'm not comfortable talking about personal issues because during this pandemic, many people are experiencing mental health problems," said Ratu Felisha.

"So I prefer to find ways to avoid mental health issues by reducing my circle of friends and protecting my privacy, so that I can be happier and healthier," she continued.
