Samanta Elsener, the sister of actor Darius Sinathrya, has come into the spotlight after deciding to convert to Islam. Some time ago, she shared her long journey on the Youtube channel BINTANG MUALAF.
Samanta Elsener decided to embrace Islam while in college. This sister of Darius is known to work as a prominent psychologist and often creates educational content on her personal Instagram.

As a child, Samanta was active in church. She acknowledges that people are often shocked to learn that she embraced Islam.
"Even in the morning before school, I went to church, because the church is in front of the school," she explained on the Youtube channel BINTANG MUALAF on June 9, 2025.
Samanta decided to convert to Islam while in college. Since school, her curiosity has been very high, and she loves to read.
"Since middle school, I could ask my religion teacher, which almost made my grades drop. I also like to read, so I read the Bible thoroughly," she explained.
Before converting to Islam, Samanta apparently studied many religions. Samanta was once given a book by her ex-boyfriend, titled Muhammad.
Every time I read a book that contains the story of the Prophet Muhammad, Samanta admits she cries. "Because I feel very relatable. It turns out I'm not the only one, the Prophet also had a heavy struggle in life," she concluded.
"I made a vow twice, and then it came true. Oh, so it means being sincere is important, we become human. Finally, I decided to convert to Islam," she concluded.
