"If I personally look for a president who cares more about human resources, the focus is on education. Because our lack is always development but not balanced with purely human resources," said Kemal Palevi in a discussion about 2024, What Millennials and Gen Z Say at Dharmawangsa Square, South Jakarta, Thursday (15/6/2023).

"The meaning is prioritizing education, maybe when talking about developed countries, it seems that we can already talk about free schools like other countries.
If I personally, I will look for a leader who focuses more on education, not just development. Development is ongoing, but education is more focused," added Kemal.

1. Leader Criteria

Not only that, besides education, the criteria for a leader that Kemal Palevi wants is someone who always fully supports what Indonesia has. For example, in the culinary or arts sector. According to him, if Indonesian leaders truly support it, it will attract tourists from abroad. Kemal also gave an example like Japan.

"Japan supports anime so much, even something as simple as Doraemon, people who watch Doraemon always eat Dorayaki there, people who watch Doraemon since they were young will continue to like it. Automatically, there are people who come to Japan just to look for the taste of Dorayaki Doraemon,"

2. We Already Have Weapons

Kemal continued, if that condition is fulfilled, foreign tourists may come just to taste Indonesian specialties or see Indonesian arts and culture.

"It means our weapons are already in Indonesia, and they need to be promoted. It means, for example, a president who cares about pecel lele, maybe a president who cares, how can we improve our national IP as Indonesians. What are the advantages that we show? Our dances, yes, let's make them go international. So that people who want to come here want to see Indonesian dances," he said.

A discussion on "2024, What Millennials and Gen Z Say" was held by RMSA Consulting & Sinergi Nawacita Indonesia, chaired by RM Suryo Atmanto. Not only Keman Palevi, this discussion also featured singer Oslo Ibrahim and basketball player Rico Lubis. The three of them gave their opinions on the prospective leaders of Indonesia in 2024. RM Suryo Atmanto said that through this discussion, young people have a voice and can give their opinions on what kind of leader is ideal in their eyes.

"So, the actual goal of this event is for the public to see the reality because in the media, it's just all about set up, set up. We want to see the reality. What emerges is what the party says, what its followers say, what its supporters say, and then what the hopes and opinions of the Indonesian people are," he said.

"We start with the Millennial siblings. Because in terms of quantity, Millennial siblings are numerous and have the potential to be the future generation. That's why we want to explore their potential opinions, like that. Later, we will move on to maybe bringing in Influencers who are at a lower level, Gen Z or the elderly, or retirees," he concluded.
