This is Cut Meyriska's Response Regarding the Old Soap Opera Not Airing Hijab Again

Cut Meyriska supports the opinion that the show should not be re-aired because it could lead to sinful acts, in accordance with Islamic teachings.

This response came after Mega Aulia, another actress who has also covered her head, cried asking for the soap opera she starred in before covering her head not to be aired again. Mega is worried that her past appearance could have a negative spiritual impact.

In the context of the Indonesian entertainment industry, Cut Meyriska stated that after the contract ends, artists do not have the right to prohibit their shows from being aired anywhere. This was also conveyed by Shireen Sungkar, who faced a similar situation with her soap opera that is airing again.

"I have never known or commented that my old soap opera is airing again, but indeed in Islam, that is a sin jariah, it would be better not to air it," said Cut Meyriska on Pagi Pagi Ambyar Trans TV.

"But regarding the contract issue, it is true what Kak Shireen said, we can't... demand because the contract has ended. It’s a catch-22 situation, hoping it won't be aired again," explained Roger Danuarta's wife.
