If previously she often chose to remain silent, for the case of the accusation of insulting the teaching profession, Mulan Jameela feels she cannot stay silent. She feels she has an obligation to provide clarification immediately. Here are the details.
On one occasion, Mulan explained her reasons. According to her, this issue not only attacks her personally, but also has the potential to put her at odds with various important parties, including teachers across Indonesia.
"I often get attacked by fake news like this. All this time I've just been silent and not responding," said Mulan Jameela when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (26/03/2026).
"But if this is related to other parties, institutions, organizations, or especially these teachers, I can't possibly be pitted against them," she added.
The wife of Ahmad Dhani feels a great respect for the teaching profession, which she considers to have made an extraordinary contribution to the nation. Therefore, she does not want her relationship with educators to be tarnished by slander.
"I can't, I don't want to, and I will never want to be in conflict with teachers. That's why I have an obligation to clarify things," she asserted.
In addition, his position as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) is also a consideration. This issue even became a question among his colleagues in the education committee.
"My friends in Commission X also asked, there was a Deputy Chairman of Commission X who asked because there were also inquiries from a group of teachers who asked Commission X," he explained.
