This Year's Ramadan King Nassar Pursues His Target of Completing the Quran & Wants to Perform Umrah with His Mom

The dangdut singer King Nassar welcomes the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan 2026 with full spiritual readiness. For Nassar, the month of Ramadan is not just an annual routine, but an important moment for self-reflection or muhasabah to become a better person.

Amid his very busy schedule in the entertainment world, Nassar continues to prioritize worship. One of his main targets this year is to complete the reading of the Quran until finished or khatam. He is committed to balancing his time well between his career and his religious obligations.

"In this Ramadan, I really want to strive to complete the Quran reading. Even with all the work and busyness, we still try to make it happen," said Nassar when met in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (25/2/2026).

Furthermore, the singer of the song 'Seperti Mati Lampu' emphasized the importance of maintaining consistency in worship. He hopes that the spirit of getting closer to the Creator will not only burn during the fasting month but will also be sustained continuously after Ramadan ends.

"Reading the Quran is not just during Ramadan, but continue to read the Quran after Ramadan as well. The worship becomes even more powerful, and it should be enhanced further," he said.

In addition to strengthening worship at home, Nassar is also planning a religious trip to the Holy Land. Initially, he intended to take the entire extended family to perform umrah together, but that plan had to shift a bit due to the health conditions of some family members.

"I initially wanted to go with the whole family, including my brothers-in-law, but they are all currently 'expecting' (pregnant), so I have to follow their schedules," he said.

Nassar eventually decided to go for umrah first with his mother. For him, being able to worship with his parents is a special blessing, especially in understanding a life full of the dynamics of meeting and parting. "So this year, God willing, if there is health and fortune, I will go with Mama first," he said.

"Every year I always interpret Ramadan with joy and happiness. Some come, and then some go. Later some will be lost, and some will be new. That's part of life," he concluded.
