To Lose Weight, Virgoun Buys Methamphetamine Worth Rp1.6 Million

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Virgoun, along with two other suspects with the initials PA and B, have been named as suspects in a case of methamphetamine abuse. The determination of suspect status was made after the police conducted a thorough investigation into the case.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol M Syahduddi revealed that based on the investigation results, Virgoun obtained methamphetamine through intermediary B, who is a crew member of the band Last Child.

"Based on the interrogation conducted by the Team to the suspect VTP (Virgoun Putra Tambunan), it was found that the suspect obtained methamphetamine by buying through the intermediary suspect BH," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol M Syahduddi, on Tuesday (25/6/2024).

Syahduddi explained that Virgoun bought 1 gram of methamphetamine for Rp 1.6 million through B online. "The suspect VTP (Virgoun Putra Tambunan) bought the methamphetamine for Rp 1,600,000 (one million six hundred thousand) rupiah," said Syahduddi.

In addition, from B's possession, the police found evidence in the form of 15 small plastic clip packages containing used synthetic tobacco, one Aqua bottle bong, one bundle of paper, and one mobile phone.

2. Threat of Punishment

Now, the three suspects face a maximum sentence of 4 years in prison. They are charged under Article 127 paragraph (1) letter (a) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, which regulates the abuse of Class I narcotics for oneself with a threat of rehabilitation or a maximum prison sentence of 4 years.

"Against the 3 suspects, Article 127 paragraph (1) letter (a) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, which regulates the abuse of Class I narcotics for oneself, is applied, requiring rehabilitation or a maximum prison sentence of 4 years," said Police Commissioner M Syahduddi.
