Top 10 Trending in Dozens of Countries, Teenage Series 'LITTLE MOM' Achieves MURI Record

Kapanlagi.com - The LITTLE MOM series on the WeTV streaming service has made an unexpected surprise. In its first week of airing, the romance drama successfully entered the trending top ten in 22 countries.

In addition to Indonesia, these countries include Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan within Asia. Outside of the region, they include the United States, Australia, Austria, the Netherlands, Turkey, Romania, Dubai, France, Germany, England, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, and Russia.

Rocky Soraya, the producer, expressed his disbelief. When making this series, he only thought about being well-received by Indonesian viewers.

"It feels very unexpected. Initially, we only wanted to be appreciated in Indonesia, but it turns out it can reach overseas. Hopefully, this can be something for all of us, that our series can be accepted outside," said Rocky during a press conference at the Hitmaker Studios office in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/10/2021).

As a result, LITTLE MOM received an award certificate from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). MURI noted it as the first Indonesian series to enter the top ten trending in dozens of countries.

Rocky Soraya said the factors that make LITTLE MOM interesting to global audiences. Besides the cast and story, the subject matter is also closely related to life in many countries.

"Perhaps because the subject matter is about teenage pregnancy. It is something that can happen to anyone, not only in Indonesia, but in all countries. In addition, in terms of script and cast, it can be accepted internationally. We read the comments, many are unaware that it's from Indonesia," said Rocky.

LITTLE MOM tells the story of Naura, a high school girl who is faced with the fact that she has to get pregnant at a young age. In this situation, the guy who impregnated her chooses to flee abroad.

The character of Naura is played by Natasha Wilona, whose acting skills are beyond doubt. It also features Teuku Rassya, Al Ghazali, Indra Brasco, and Elina Joerg.
