Kapanlagi.com - Wulan Guritno admits to liking sports since junior high school. She has done various sports. The reason she exercises is not to lose weight but because her body asks for it because she is used to it.
"I happen to be very enthusiastic about exercising. I have been exercising since junior high school. Exercising is not because I want to lose weight, or want this or that. But when I don't exercise, my body asks for it because I'm used to it," said Wulan Guritno during a virtual press conference on Tuesday (20/10).
At the beginning of the pandemic, Wulan Guritno was forced to only exercise online at home. But when boredom set in, she started exercising outside the house, such as running and cycling, of course, following health protocols.
"When this pandemic happened, it was like a semi-lockdown, we couldn't go anywhere except to the supermarket and work from home. The only thing I could do was exercise with my laptop, online exercises. As the boredom started to come, I started running while following the COVID protocols," she explained.
Cycling has become her favorite exercise lately. Wulan Guritno admitted that she has found many benefits since she started cycling as a hobby. Besides being able to discipline her time, she never misses the dawn prayer.
"Usually, when I pray the dawn prayer, I will go back to sleep. Sometimes, to be honest, I oversleep. But with my cycling training, automatically without being woken up by anyone, my husband, children, or anyone else, I wake up at 4:30 in the morning," she said.
"Sometimes, even when I don't feel like cycling today, I want to sleep again, or wake up late, I can't, my body is already asking for it. So I learned discipline, being on time, I learned a lot," Wulan Guritno concluded.
You can do any exercise during the pandemic as long as you follow health protocols. Don't forget to always wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, and avoid crowded places to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
