Feel the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Reza Zakarya Had No Job Off Air - Temporary Restaurant Closure

Kapanlagi.com - Since the past eight months, all singers in Indonesia have not been able to perform live due to the Covid-19 pandemic, including Reza Zakarya. At the beginning of the pandemic, Reza did not experience any off-air performances.

He was only busy with some existing jobs, one of which was hosting the competition show Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) 2020.

"All live performances disappeared, there were no live performances at all," said Reza when contacted by Kapanlagi.com, Saturday (17/10/2020).

The third winner of the D'Academy 3 Indosiar competition said that only a few months ago he started taking off-air jobs again in the midst of the pandemic. However, it's not performing in public places, but rather private events that strictly implement health protocols.

"Just recently, a few months ago, there have been off-air events held privately and in accordance with the protocols. So it's a little bit helpful," he said.

2. Restaurant Closure

The pandemic not only affects stage jobs, but also Reza's restaurant business. At the beginning of the pandemic, Reza had to close his restaurant.

Reza came up with a solution to keep his business running amidst the pandemic, so he started operating from home. However, Reza only provides online services.

3. Already Started Walking Again

"Alhamdulillah now we have started walking again, so Reza has been working from home for five months, for the cafe and for the past two months we have started working again to open the store again," he said.

After several months of closure and moving to the house, Reza reopened his business as usual. However, there is a slight difference when Reza reopens the restaurant in general.

4. Menu Removed

Reza said, there are several food menus that must be removed to avoid customers eating in a crowded place.

"Alhamdulillah, everything has started to recover, already started to be active again. Although there are some menus or some food that we intentionally remove from the menu, to avoid customers who have to eat on the spot. Because that regulation is not yet allowed in this area," said Reza.

5. Receive Delivery Messages

"So here, yesterday was the last day of the new PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) that we started opening from 8 am until 6 pm. So there were some changes yesterday, that's why we didn't make ready-to-eat foods to be available in-store. If they want to order, they have to make a purchase order first and we will deliver it through online motorcycle taxi," Reza concluded.
