Both of them are sad and lament the fate of their unfortunate husbands who were arrested by the police. Despite being the backbone of the family, their husbands were only workers who obeyed orders from their superiors.
"I want to clarify that my husband was only trapped in this case. Because from the beginning, he was only invited as a regular crew member, not a crew member in this kind of film (porn)," said Intan, AIS's wife in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/10/2023).
"Our husbands only intended to work and be paid. They were given a monthly salary, which is not comparable to what the boss receives," added Bianca, JAAS's wife.
What's worse, according to Intan and Bianca, their husbands who are only messengers, are caught under the same article as their leaders. Therefore, Intan and Bianca hope that their husbands will receive justice.
"Those who benefit and those who receive a monthly salary, it's the same article. I hope there can be fairness between those who benefit and those who only receive a salary," said Intan in tears.
"We only ask for justice because we don't enjoy the boss's profits. Our husbands are only given wages after completing the work. Hopefully our husbands can be freed and only the mastermind behind all this is punished," added Bianca.
Intan admitted that her husband only earns around Rp 4-5 million per month. Initially, her husband took the job as an editor without being informed that it involved producing adult films. The same goes for Bianca.
When they finally found out, their husbands, who didn't understand the law, were convinced by their leaders that the film being produced was legal and not categorized as pornography.
"Our husbands have also warned, 'How did it deviate like this? Is it safe or not?'. The director and producer said, 'It's safe, it has legal backing, nothing will happen'. Our husbands, because they are unfamiliar with the law, said, 'Oh well, let's continue' because they are the head of the family," Intan explained, supported by Bianca.
Just for information, the suspects in the pornographic film case produced by Kelas Bintang production house are charged with Article 27 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (1) and/or Article 34 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 50 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning electronic information and transactions and/or Article 4 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 30 and/or Article 7 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 8 in conjunction with Article 39 and/or Article 9 in conjunction with Article 35 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning pornography.
The suspects face a maximum prison sentence of 12 years and a maximum fine of Rp 10 billion.
