Complete Chronology of 'Revenge Porn' that Went Viral in Pandeglang: Victim Raped Unconscious, Perpetrator Made Threats - Strange Trial

Kapanlagi.com - The case of revenge porn in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province went viral on social media on Monday (26/6). The victim is a 23-year-old woman, while the perpetrator, identified as AHM (22), is the victim's ex-boyfriend.

The victim's brother, named Iman Zanatul Haeri, wrote some facts related to the case on his Twitter account, @zanatul_91. The main reason Iman wrote a long thread on Twitter was because he saw something strange in the case.

As of the release of this news, Iman's main thread has received 50,000 retweets, 5,000 quote tweets, and almost 80,000 likes. Due to its length and virality, Iman divided this revenge porn thread into three parts.

1. Message from Anonymous Instagram Account

Iman said that at first her younger brother (Iman & 8 siblings' victim) received a message from an unknown Instagram account (anonymous). The message contained a video of the victim or Iman's younger sister who was unconscious.

"Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Our younger brother, RK (we are 8 siblings) received a private message from an unknown Instagram account. When clicked, it contained a video of our victim (our sibling) who was being recorded unconscious," Iman tweeted.

"The sender of the video used a one-click feature that disappeared after being viewed. Because RK was using a laptop at the time, he immediately saved it to make sure that the woman in the video was his sister," she continued.

2. Still Unbelievable

A day later, Iman was called and informed about the video. At first, the family didn't believe that the woman in the video was the victim (Iman's sister).

"Thursday, December 15, 2022. I was called and informed about the video. Like most people, our family still can't believe that the woman in the video is our sister," Iman tweeted.

3. Starting to Realize

Iman and his family finally began to realize that the perpetrator intentionally committed revenge porn to destroy the victim's life. According to Iman's testimony, the video lasted for 5 seconds and was divided into 4 screens. The last screen showed his sister being raped without her knowledge.

"The video, divided into 4 screens, one is a photo of the victim (our sister) receiving an award, two and three are photos of my sister participating in a competition. On screen 4 is my sister being raped (without her knowledge) with the perpetrator holding the camera," tweeted Iman.

"I explain this because the perpetrator intentionally edited the video to make it clear that the victim (our sister) was in the video. The 5-second video was taken hastily by the perpetrator. He really wanted to destroy our sister's life," he continued.

4. Perpetrator Sends Video to Victim's Close Friend

The perpetrator sent the obscene video to the victim's close friends with the intention of preventing the victim from living a normal life. The perpetrator even threatened to send the video to a lecturer just because the victim was busy with school.

"Friday, December 16, 2022. We gathered various information from the victim's close friends. They all knew about the video. This happened because the perpetrator always sends porn revenge videos to all friends who are considered too close to the victim (our sibling)," wrote Iman.

"The perpetrator does not want the victim (our sibling) to live a normal life, for example, with friends, or just playing with campus friends. The perpetrator even repeatedly threatened to send the video to the victim's lecturer just because the victim was busy with school," continued Iman.

5. Three Years Already

Apparently, according to the victim's testimony who finally met with the family, the perpetrator had been doing this to the victim for the past three years.

"Then we immediately picked up the victim (our sibling) to their sibling's house. We talked nicely, informed them, and then the victim (our sibling) cried hysterically," wrote Iman.

"At that time, our sibling finally told us how for almost three years they had suffered to cover everything up," continued Iman.

6. Report to Police & Perpetrator Arrested

After considering various factors, the victim's party dared to report to the police. After investigation, the perpetrator was finally arrested.

"In a pressured condition, it was difficult for the family to convince the victim (our sibling) that reporting to the police was the best option. Of course, any victim would feel embarrassed," tweeted Iman.

"But at that time, the main focus was on the spread of the video. Therefore, we reported to the cybercrime division of the Banten Police. After a long investigation process, on February 21, 2023, the perpetrator was arrested," he added.

7. Perpetrator's Family Uncooperative

Actually, Iman kept the confidentiality of this case so that the victim would not be depressed. But on the other hand, the perpetrator's family showed an uncooperative attitude by spreading information that this was just a normal dating case.

"Not to mention they went around to every far and near family of ours to pressure for peace, while telling their version of the story," tweeted Iman.

"This means our efforts to make this case private are very difficult because the slander from the perpetrator's family about rape and sexual violence must continue to be clarified," he continued.

8. Violence to Death Threats

Iman said that the victim received several acts of violence from the perpetrator. Not only that, the perpetrator repeatedly made death threats and even suggested that the victim should commit suicide.

"Of course, our family has agreed to cut off all communication with the perpetrator's family. One thing that makes us not back down is the story of the victim (our sibling) being punched, hit, pulled by the hair, pushed down the stairs, and forcibly dragged by the perpetrator," Iman continued.

"The perpetrator repeatedly intended to kill the victim (our sibling), once holding a knife to our sibling's neck and even suggesting that our sibling should kill themselves," he added.

9. Suspicious Trial Process

Entering the trial process, Iman admitted that they found a series of suspicious processes. Here are the suspicious things experienced by the victim's party.

"During this case, we hoped that the victim (our sibling) would remain strong until they got justice. However, the trial process was very suspicious," Iman tweeted.

"Before the trial, the victim (our sibling) and their sister (witness) were summoned by the prosecutor in charge of the case. When they were at the prosecutor's office, our sibling was called into a private room by the prosecutor."

"The prosecutor repeatedly manipulated our sibling's psychological opinion to 'forgive', 'we must be wise', 'you must let go',"

"After the trial, we tried to report to the Women and Children Protection Post (PPA) at the Pandeglang Prosecutor's Office. That's where a new game started."

"When we reported to the PPA post, suddenly the prosecutor we reported came to the complaint room. The prosecutor immediately scolded me and the victim."

10. Feeling Like the Culprit Instead

All the treatment received by Iman and the victim's family made them feel like they were actually being treated like the culprit. Moreover, Iman admitted that the service towards the perpetrator's family was better than towards him as the victim.

"Sometimes we feel sorry during the trial, seeing more of the perpetrator's family with cynicism, getting AC rooms, and being served like VIPs. It feels like we are the culprits. Hopefully we can reverse the situation. Thank you for your support," Iman concluded at the end of the long thread.
