"I still remember when Uje first introduced me to Umi Tatum. I was wearing a tank top, a mini skirt, high heels, and my hair was blonde even though I'm not a foreigner, and it happened during a religious gathering. So, I can imagine how I felt like I was being stripped naked because the mothers' eyes were looking at me as if I was really bad," said Umi Pipik, recounting her first meeting with her future mother-in-law.
