Performing Umrah for nearly three weeks made Kimberly Ryder have to let go of time away from her children. This time, Kimberly entrusted the care of her two children to their father.
Although there is a feeling of sadness, she is confident that her children will be just fine under their grandfather's supervision. Kimberly shared that her children are actually excited because they will spend more time with their grandfather.

This situation became a moment for the grandfather to get closer to his grandchildren while Kimberly is in the Holy Land. Kimberly chose to leave her children with their grandfather during this Umrah trip.
"There is definitely some sadness, yes, God willing, they are entrusted to their grandfather. (My mother) Takes turns with my father. But they are happy because it is rare for them to be entrusted for a long time to their grandfather. Usually, it’s with their grandmother. Takes turns," said Kimberly Ryder when met at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Wednesday (4/3/2016).
Regarding the concerns that arose from the family about the security situation abroad, Kimberly tried to calm them. She wants everyone at home to remain positive so that her worship there is not disturbed by excessive anxiety.
"Yes, we are in a group with their father who is worried. As for me, I am calm even though there are bombs; we remain calm. In fact, I support, 'Well, don’t think about it, just stay calm, stay positive,'" she expressed.
As a mother, Kimberly has certainly prepared all her children's needs before leaving. She ensures that communication will remain intact even while she is focused on carrying out her series of worship in Mecca and Medina.
"The preparation is mostly trying to be more mindful of my words, maintaining my worship. Of course, packing. And our group has many who are going for Umrah for the first time. So, a lot of help is needed," Kimberly explained.
Kimberly is still going for Umrah to Saudi Arabia even though the situation in the Middle East is currently tense. She will stay in Saudi Arabia for over a dozen days and return to Indonesia after the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.
