Umi Pipik Delays Departure of Umrah Pilgrims Due to Middle Eastern Conflict

The increasingly heated geopolitical situation in the Middle East has had a direct impact on umrah travel businesses in Indonesia, including Umi Pipik. The wife of the late Ustaz Jefri Al Buchori had to make the difficult decision to postpone her pilgrims' departure for everyone's safety.

Umi Pipik revealed that several flights to the Holy Land had to be suddenly canceled due to the critical conditions in the conflict areas. This is certainly disappointing news for the pilgrims who were ready to depart.

"I also have a group of pilgrims, because I also have a travel agency. They were supposed to depart, but it was postponed because we just received news yesterday that it was canceled for now. They were supposed to leave yesterday. But given the urgent situation, it is indeed very urgent," said Umi Pipik with concern.

The decision to postpone was not made without reason. Umi Pipik emphasized that the safety of the pilgrims is the top priority. She does not want to take the risk of sending pilgrims in the midst of an unfavorable air situation due to the war.

"Yes, because we are also looking for safety for the pilgrims. Yes, it’s sad too, because we can see that in the air, maybe, uh, what’s it called... we know it’s like that. So maybe they really don’t want to take this risk," she added.

Nevertheless, Umi Pipik continues to provide hope for the congregants. She estimates that flights will return to normal and be allowed to operate around March 5 or 6, if the situation has calmed down.

On the other hand, Umi Pipik also highlights the current state of the world as signs of the end times that have already been written in the Qur'an. She invites the community to strengthen their faith and piety in facing all the phenomena that occur.

"Well... it's already the end times, right? Everything in the Qur'an is indeed now emerging. So we must strengthen our faith and piety even more, right?" her wise message.

Umrah travel is one of the business lines owned by Umi Pipik. She regularly performs umrah in the Holy Land and admits to always longing to worship there.
