Unveiled! Initially Ruben Onsu Only Wanted to Produce Betrand Peto as a Singer, Not as a Foster Child

Kapanlagi.com - After going through a long and winding process, Ruben Onsu finally obtained the official right to foster Betrand Peto. Interestingly, when they first met, Ruben never thought of fostering Betrand as his own child.

Then Ruben came up with the idea of producing Betrand as a singer. Although he was unsure because he had never been in that position before.

"Initially, I met Betrand on a talk show. Then someone said, 'You should produce that child'. Because I work in the food industry, when the idea of becoming a producer came up, I didn't feel it at that time. At that time, he was still being taken care of by his label when it came to singing. So I was afraid because it required responsibility," Ruben said while attending the Extraordinary Concert: Indonesia Viral Ambyar at Studio 6 Emtek, West Jakarta, on Thursday (9/1/2020).

"After returning from the talk show, I kept thinking about this child. Because when he sang, not only I cried, but everyone in the studio did. His singing was so emotional. So I agreed to become his producer first," continued Sarwendah's husband.

1. Ask for Charly's Help

Once decided to become a producer, Ruben was confused about creating the right single for Betrand Peto because of his distinctive and high voice. Until he saw Charly Van Houten's post on Instagram and asked the musician to create a song for him.

"I was confused about what song to make for him, because his voice is high. When I opened Instagram and saw Charly, I immediately contacted him, 'Hey like this like this like this'," explained Ruben.

2. Only One Hour

After discussing the creation of the song, Charly asked Ruben to send a sample of Betrand Peto's voice. Unexpectedly, one hour later, a song titled Sahabat Kecil was created.

"Asked to send Betrand's voice sample, once it was sent, not even an hour later Kang Charly immediately sent the result... wow. This song is for Betrand, titled Sahabat Kecil," said Ruben.
