Ustaz Solmed Gives Ultimatum to Defamation Account, Furious His Good Name is Tarnished

Ustaz Solmed is not staying silent after his name was linked to a case of alleged sexual harassment involving a preacher with the initials SAM, which is currently being processed at the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department. Feeling deliberately defamed through provocative video content, Ustaz Sholeh Mahmoed Nasution is preparing to take legal action to provide a deterrent effect to the owners of those accounts.

According to Ustaz Solmed, the public should be more meticulous in examining the facts and criteria that have been presented by the complainant before making accusations. He believes there are elements of intention from certain individuals to steer negative opinions that attack his credibility as a cleric.

"Yes, first of all, we should not easily make accusations without evidence. Especially based only on initials without first looking and reading. His lawyer presented the criteria, filling this event, then this," said Ustaz Solmed in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (16/3/2026).

"It's just a matter of finding it. It's obvious and can be discovered, and the initials are also SAM. If you connect the dots, you'll find it. So, I actually see that there are content accounts that deliberately create to corner me. And God willing, I will make sure that after Eid, I will bring this to the legal table," he added.

Currently, several account names that were the first to spread the defamatory content have been noted by the ustaz. He claimed to have consulted with the authorities and will officially file his report right after the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration.

"There are several. So get ready, for those who today still have accounts spreading slander about me, take them down immediately. Take them down immediately. I give you time, an opportunity, until this Eid. After Eid, if we check and they are still there, we will involve them in our report. But if they are not there, then alhamdulillah. Maybe only a few accounts that I have noted, because these are the original creators of the content," he asserted.

Until now, there has been no apology or good faith from the owners of the accounts spreading the hoaxes. Ustaz Solmed emphasized that he is still open to communication if they are willing to take responsibility for their actions amicably before entering the criminal realm.

"Not yet, there has been no communication from those responsible for the defamatory account, the video they made with narratives that slander me. I am waiting for their accountability. If they cannot take responsibility amicably, then I will have to proceed to legal action," he stated.

He warned the perpetrators to use this Eid break as a final opportunity to delete the negative content. If there is no change, Ustaz Solmed assured that legal proceedings will continue to the court.

"Think carefully, please come to my place, present your accountability for the slanderous video that you posted on your account and then spread by many people," he said.

"I await clarification and accountability. If not, God willing, I will ensure that after Eid I will bring this matter to legal proceedings, for you to be held responsible in court," he concluded.
