Vacation, Husband and Child of Hamidah Rachmayanti Almost Swept Away by Waves in Bali

In an Instagram post, she revealed that her husband, Irfan Farhad, affectionately called Baba, and their daughter, Shireen, almost got swept away by the waves along with two boys they had just met on the beach. It was later discovered that one of the boys was Bambang, the youngest son of Meisya Siregar and Bebi Romeo.

Hamidah began her story by stating that the vacation moment, which was supposed to be a beautiful memory, almost turned into a lifelong regret. She mentioned that Shireen had long wanted to spend her school holiday at the beach in Bali.

"3 minutes of distraction, almost a lifelong regret. Initially, Shireen and Baba were just playing in the water. Shireen was so happy that her vacation request was fulfilled. Because she requested that this school holiday be spent at the beach in Bali. And with the intention of creating beautiful memories at the beach during her school holiday this time," wrote Hamidah.

While playing at the beach, Shireen and Baba then got to know two friendly boys. They played together until they unknowingly moved further away from the shore.

"What started as a game for two eventually became a game for four. Shireen and Baba accidentally met two very friendly boys who wanted to join in playing together. You can see here, laughing, joking, everything looks just fine," she continued.

2. Hamidah's Attention Diverted

Hamidah admitted that she had diverted her attention for about three minutes to take care of her youngest child, Shayna, who was about to eat beach sand. It was at that moment that the situation changed drastically. The video she accidentally recorded captured the moment when a big wave came crashing in.

"But without realizing it, they were playing further away from the shore. Baba tried to pull her hand to keep her at the edge. And here the video stopped because mommy was distracted by something else (baby Shayna wanting to eat beach sand). Three minutes of mommy's attention was diverted to Shireen's younger siblings. It turns out, the background of this video is..."

"This video was accidentally recorded. This is the moment when Baba and Shireen were hit by waves. Meanwhile, the two children with them disappeared and were momentarily lost due to the force of the waves," she added.

3. There Were Visitors Who Gave Help

Hamidah is grateful that there were visitors who promptly provided assistance. Meanwhile, her husband was trying to save all the children at the location, even though several times his grip slipped due to the strong waves.

"God is Great. Fortunately, one of the visitors was quick and immediately helped Baba. (This video was accidentally recorded while looking for Baba and Shireen via zoom on the phone because they were far away)," she wrote.

He also recounted Baba's struggle to make difficult decisions in the midst of an emergency situation. At that time, Shireen reported that she was having difficulty breathing because she had swallowed too much seawater, while two boys with her had slipped from his grip.

"While they were being hit by the waves, Baba was trying to save everyone. At first, Baba managed to hold their hands, but it slipped repeatedly due to the waves. At that moment, Baba looked very confused because he was torn between bringing Shireen to the shore first. Because at that time, Shireen said she couldn't breathe anymore and her body was weak from swallowing a lot of seawater. And thank God, the two boys who had gone missing were quickly helped by the beach lifeguard," Hamidah revealed.

Recently, Hamidah learned that one of the boys who was swept away by the waves was Bambang, the son of Meisya Siregar and Bebi Romeo. She admitted she did not expect to meet that family in such a tense situation.

"Qadarullah, it turns out that two boys, one of whom is the son of Ms. Meisya Siregar and Uncle Bebi Romeo. Masya Allah, who would have thought we would meet in such a tense situation like this," concluded Hamidah.
