Vanessa Angel Faces 5 Years in Prison, Bibi Ardiansyah Only Recommended for Rehabilitation

Today, Thursday (4/9), after conducting further examinations of several witnesses, the investigators have named Vanessa Angel as a suspect. The star of the series Heart Series 2 is now facing a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison.

1. Bibi Ardiansyah Recommended for Rehabilitation

Meanwhile, Bibi, who was found positive for using xanax, is considered a witness in the case and is only recommended to undergo rehabilitation.

According to AKP Maulana Mukarom, the Head of the Narcotics Unit 2 of West Jakarta Police, Bibi has not been proven guilty. On the contrary, based on Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997, it is Vanessa who has been proven guilty for possessing and storing xanax without authorization.

"Bibi was only found to have used the drugs that were in the possession of the suspect, VA. Therefore, based on Article 37 paragraph 1 of the Psychotropic Substances Law, we recommend Bibi to undergo rehabilitation," said AKP Maulana Mukarom in a press conference on Thursday (9/4).

2. Xanax is Actually Allowed to be Consumed

The Head of the Narcotics Unit of West Jakarta Police, Kompol. Ronaldo Maradona, explained that xanax found in Vanessa Angel's residence is actually allowed to be consumed. However, it must be in accordance with a doctor's prescription. Otherwise, it would be considered a criminal offense.

"Xanax can be consumed as long as it is part of a treatment based on a doctor's prescription. But if it is possessed or stored without authorization, it becomes a criminal offense," he said.

3. Police Picked Up Since Wednesday

On Wednesday (8/4) yesterday, Vanessa Angel, Bibi Ardiansyah, and their manager were picked up by the police. The three of them arrived at the West Jakarta Metro Police Station in the afternoon. They then underwent further examination from 13.00 to 19.00 WIB.
