Vanessa Sits in the Defendant's Chair, Husband Cries in the Courtroom

Kapanlagi.com - Vanessa Angel, who is a city detainee on a drug abuse case, underwent her first trial on Monday, August 31, 2020, at the West Jakarta District Court.

Vanessa came accompanied by her husband, Bibi Ardiansyah, and their baby. In the courtroom, Bibi was seen shedding tears when his wife was called to sit in the defendant's chair.

"Yes, it's sad. Previously, Vanessa had experienced something like this," explained Bibi as he described the reason for his tears.

According to the man who married Vanessa Angel on January 11, 2020, for the past few days, his wife has been experiencing depression because she is going to have her first trial.

"Well, in these past 3 days, she has been thinking about today, Monday, and she is really stressed. So, her stress continues," he said.

2. Bibi Ardiansyah Cries

As a husband, he also feels the burden experienced by his wife. Moreover, their household has just been blessed with their first child. Unable to bear it, he finally shed tears.

"Well, I don't want to see something like that as the head of the family. Because I am also a new parent. So, hopefully in the future, Allah will grant us smoothness," he said.

3. Arrested for Drugs

As known, Vanessa Angel became a defendant in a drug abuse case for illegally possessing 20 tablets of xanax, a type of psychotropic drug.

For her actions, Vanessa was charged with Article 62 of the Indonesian Law No. 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics, in conjunction with the Minister of Health Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 49 of 2018 concerning Changes to the Classification of Psychotropic Drugs in the Appendix of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics.
