Venna Melinda and Verrell Bramasta United Without Secrets: We Often Confide in Each Other

The relationship between Venna Melinda and her son, Verrell Bramasta, seems to be more than just an ordinary mother and son. They are known to be very close and often share stories, including about romantic relationships.

"We are like friends, so Verrell is very open with me. Sometimes I also like to share back. So it’s not just him confiding," said Venna when met in the Jalan Kapten Tendean area, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/4/2025).

According to Venna, the key to their closeness lies in healthy communication since Verrell was little. She has always instilled the value that home should be the safest place to share stories. "I've always told the kids that home is a place to return to, to share anything. Including love stories, failures, everything," she said.

Verrell is said to have maturity in dealing with personal issues. This is also what makes Venna feel more comfortable being a place for her son to confide.

"Sometimes he talks about girls, about work, about life goals. I just listen first, then give advice if asked," she said.

Even so, Venna still maintains boundaries so as not to interfere too much in the actor's personal matters.

"I never ask for details, especially about sensitive matters. I just want him to know that I'm always there for him," she explained.

Venna also believes that her non-judgmental attitude makes Verrell feel comfortable opening up.

"If I start to judge, she will definitely close herself off. So I choose to just be a listener," she continued.

For Venna, being a mother is not just about educating, but also about being a trusted friend.

"I want my children to know that their mother can talk about anything, even things that they might not be able to tell others," she concluded.
