Victims Not Accepting Olivia Nathania's Three-Year Prison Sentence, Courtroom Heated Up

Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta District Court sentenced Olivia Nathania, the daughter of Nia Daniaty, to three years in prison for fraud in the guise of CPNS acceptance. This sentence is lighter than the demand of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who previously demanded three and a half years in prison for Olivia Nathania.

During the trial, several victims of Olivia Nathania's fraud also witnessed the verdict hearing held at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (28/3/2022). Upon hearing the verdict of the judges, one of the victims named Agustin suddenly fainted or lost consciousness.

Knowing that Agustin fainted, the other victims immediately helped and carried their friend to a seat in the courtroom. Then, after the trial, a quarrel broke out between Olivia Nathania's lawyer, Andy Mulia Siregar, and one of the victims.

Andy Mulia Siregar who wanted to give a statement to the media regarding the trial's result. Suddenly, one of the victims immediately cut off Olivia Nathania's lawyer's statement. Not only that, but one of the victims also pointed at Andy Mulia Siregar.

"We respect what the judge said," said Andy Mulia Siregar.

"Lies, give it back, you're lying, don't mess around," said the victim.

"This is a court, this is a court," said Andy Mulia Siregar.

2. Respect the Judge's Decision

Then, Andy Mulia Siregar continued his statement to the media regarding the judge's decision to sentence Olivia Nathania to three years in prison. Andy Mulia Siregar admitted that they highly respect the judge's decision.

"We highly respect what the court has said. Therefore, it is a decision that we must respect," he said.

3. Ready to Appeal

Andy Mulia Siregar said that they will also try to appeal the judge's decision. According to him, there are several considerations that make him appeal, one of which is related to the return of money to the victims.

"But we feel that there are several considerations that were not done correctly, so we submit an appeal. What kind of considerations? Such as the reasons for the return of money that have been returned, but were not taken into consideration by the judges," Andy Mulia Siregar concluded.

4. CPNS Fraud

As is known, Olivia Nathania, Nia Daniaty's daughter, was reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for alleged fraud in the selection of Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS). There were 225 victims of Olivia's fraud with losses reaching Rp9.7 billion.

These 225 victims are known to not yet have CPNS status, even though there were promised SK and NIK appointments by Olivia Nathania. Until now, the case has been upgraded from investigation to investigation. Even Nia Daniaty's daughter has been detained at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police detention center.
